Two Days With Restriction And...

Recommended Posts

I had my 3rd fill on 5/23 and today 5/26 I feel as though I have not received a fill. The fill was adequate at the time and I felt restriction but now I am having severe cravings. My question is could restriction be lost so quickly and why? Thank you for your responses.

I would like to know the same thing, glad you asked.

I had restriction with port pain when i walked now no port pain and very little restriction.

Does it evaporate?

The first couple days you could have just been swollen from the fill and once that was gone you feel no difference. I have had many fills and I don't really feel or notice anything different. I keep hoping the next fill is the one!

Severe cravings but do you get restriction or satisfaction after a small meal? I have too much restriction and can't eat much but I'm still hungry most of the time.

You were probably swollen from the fill but had not really hit proper restriction. Took me 6 months of fills to get restriction.

No I do not get satisfaction after a small meal at this time. I can eat more than the 4oz that is recommended. That's also why my MD gave me the fill initially. I felt great after the fill, my appetite was under control and I felt I was in the green zone but it lasted so shortly. It was only a small fill because I had one two weeks prior. But it also worked only for a short time. It makes sense the swelling is starting to subside so maybe in a month my MD will give me another fill and that will do the trick. Now is time for more will power to maintain my appetite. Thank you everyone.

HAD THE SAME ISSUES INITIALLY. MY SURGEON SAID YOU WILL HAVE IT; THEN LOSE IT UNTIL YOU ARE AT THE PERFECT FILL.

I HAVE A 7CC BAND, I HAD 6 FILLS, WENT OVER, AND HAD .75CC REMOVED. YOU WILL KNOW WHEN YOU ARE THERE. IF YOU CAN STILL EAT ALL THE FOODS THEY SAID YOU COULD NOT EAT....YOU ARE NOT THERE YET.

HANG IN THERE....YOU WILL FIND YOUR SWEET SPOT.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
