JustMandak 6 Posted May 25, 2012 I am such a creature of habit. I have eaten the same time daily for over the last year. Now that I'm banded I find myself sitting down to eat even when I'm not hungry, three bites in I'm miserable. Is there anyone else that dealt with this and how did you break your food clock. Holly Dolly 575 Posted May 25, 2012 It is hard! Sometimes I will have my lunch between 10:30-11:00 and then when 12:30 comes I feel like I should be eating. You just gotta tell yourself you aren't hungry and you will eat when you are. Easier said than done, right?!!!!
SageTracey 608 Posted May 25, 2012 For the band to succeed we must learn to listen to our body's again. We lose weight with the band by eating properly and listening (i.e. stopping eating) when we get that signal that we have eaten enough. The band causes that signal to be triggered on much smaller quantities of food. Therefore it is really important that you learn to recognise and respond to your body. This was a major learning process for me because I had ignored those messages for so long which is why I became morbidly obese!
Skyvic 226 Posted May 25, 2012 I call this head hungry. Still experience this. Practice eating on your small.plates, small bites, lots of chews. Sit and visit and be social. Concentrate in the company of others but still focus on small bites. Eating alone? I just eat small and walk away before you r miserable go walking. I think it's hard to get head out of it after so many years of living do food as I call it.
