senorita 0 Posted March 5, 2006 :help: Hello, I got my 1st fill thursday, I follow the 2 days liquids & 2 days soft foods, yet today (Sunday) I was feeling really HUNGRY around lunch and ate 1 quesadilla, waited and wasnt full yet so I ate another 1/2 quesadilla and a cup of mashed potatoes, after that I felt full but I m not sure If I ate more than I was supposed to or need more liquid on my band? I thought i WAS going to be filled with less amount of food. HELP What should I do? What heve some of u experienced? thoughts? Is it too early to get more liquid on my band ? Im self pay so I really dont want to wait 2 weeks to pay $200 more for what I should have gotten in the 1st place. Thanks a lot!
vinesqueen 2 Posted March 5, 2006 I'd say that you might want to call and schedule another fill. If I'm readiing you right, you got your fill about 5 days ago, and you are still hungry after a sizable meal, then you could use a tweek.
Tootarts 0 Posted March 5, 2006 Senorita, My first fill was 3cc's I have a van guard band that holds 10 cc's and I could eat anything after that fill. I lost only 2 pounds in a month, talk about discouraging. I was just filled last week another 1.5 cc's and this time I have some restriction and have lost 2 pounds already. The doctor told me that he has to fill in increments because everyone is different and you don't want to be too tight and have to be unfilled, so that's why they do it slowly. I too have to pay cash and my doc charges 500 dollars...........So I know your pain!
Morsaille 4 Posted March 6, 2006 Talk to your fill doc ASAP! some docs charge less for adjustments made within a week of your fill date. Find out before you get stuck paying full price. (Like I'm gonna...)
mousecrazy 2 Posted March 6, 2006 There have also been reports of those whose fill didn't "kick in" for awhile...I think it would be a good idea to check with your fill doctor, in any case. Good luck! Cindy
freebit 0 Posted March 8, 2006 Quesadilla is a bad idea due to the flour...gets stuck, bad scene. If you want solid food, try beef chili. The hamburger stays non-clumped as it goes down and doesnt get stuck. Chew good though. The more watery the chili the better. chicken is kinda stringy and gets all tanlged up like a ball of christmas lights so stay away from that as well. It is normal to take an hour to finish a small bowl of chili. If with friends at a restaurant you will always be the last to finish. I used to be able to finish a humongous meal in 10 minutes. Amazing how things change huh?
