Got A Question On Arm Pain?

Recommended Posts

I went to the dr today for a follow up. I had told him that when I had surgery I had the gas in my shoulder and a few nights ago I was laying in bed and my shoulder started to hurt again but this time it went down my arm and caused tingling and numbness in my fingers. The dr said it must of been a panic attack but I don't believe that because it lasted for a few hours. He again like others said it wasn't band related. Has anyone had this problem, if so can you please share so that I know what to do

I was told when i got my band that you will have some pain in the left shoulder and arm ... it has to do with the diaphram and your band ... Said that they couldnt explain why it happens but that it would go away ... i hope that helps

Are your fingers numb? I had a stroke at 39 and my symptoms included numb fingers. Personally I would get it checked out. Panic attack my !@!.

I went to the ER yesterday, everything is good on the heart and such. They don't really know what it is. So they assume a pinched nerve.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
