JRPRN 6 Posted May 21, 2012 Got my first fill today. Not as big of a deal as I thought. Only pain was from lidocaine to numb port site and it wasn't bad. Just a little sting. Dr gave me 2cc. I could feel the Fluid go into he band when he pushed the syringe. That was wierd. Definately could tell a difference when drinking the Water afterwards. No problem swallowing just felt like it was taking longer for it to go down. Don't know if that will last though. Good Luck!!!

oneangel34 51 Posted May 21, 2012 I had my first fill today. It was easy. I have some swelling near my port so they had to use a needle to remove some liquid from under my skin. They said it was because my body isn't use to the port and it is causing Fluid to build up. I have to use ice packs on it again to help it go down more. I have never heard of this until today. Another lady had the same problem today. Kinda weird! Lol but I feel better already!
