Grandma3 73 Posted May 21, 2012 Thanks everyone, I thought if I followed the rules and did what I was suppose to do, it would work out. But I am finding out that it takes alot more then that. Baby steps!
Cindysmom (Ilene) 130 Posted May 21, 2012 Grandma: You just had the surgery last month. You are doing great..God gives us 1 day at a time. Give your body 1 day at time. Relax, learn the rules because the lapband is in your body for the rest of your life. (if you want it to) I am sure once you reach your goal (and you will in time) You do not want to gain it back ie: yo yo effect. This is it. For myself the last 10 lbs were hard to loose and I realized that if I want to maintain which I have for 1 year. I am to be on it for the rest of my life. I am commited to do so. Keep up all the good work that you are doing. And sometimes our goal in our head is not the same goal as the body wants to have.
Sojourner 2,446 Posted May 21, 2012 Thanks everyone, I thought if I followed the rules and did what I was suppose to do, it would work out. But I am finding out that it takes alot more then that. Baby steps! I have also discovered that this journey is also about developing patience and perseverance...you are correct; every journey begins with the first initial small steps! You are on your way!
