mrspopeye 69 Posted May 19, 2012 bread is totally my weakness! I am actually glad that the Lap Band is goin to help me with that. I learned the same painful lesson regarding my husband's very best grilled pork tenderloin which I dearly love. Off the list for sure- got stuck, thought I was going to die- luckily it passed on. MsDuran 62 Posted May 19, 2012 I have tried every kind and this morning I tried a tortilla... It's just not happening! Oh well the end justifies the means right??!
tex411 10 Posted May 19, 2012 I can do bread but later in the day and it has to be toasted a little. Flour Tortillas not so much. They get too sticky but corn go down find. I love my bread too.
Jackie's girl 32 Posted May 19, 2012 I had a few foods on my pre surgery food bucket list and a soft pretzel and grilled cheese were on it. I know I won't see either of those for a long time if ever, but worth it right?
Skyvic 226 Posted May 19, 2012 bread not an option...a few months back I tried some gluten free bread at Great Harvest Bread Company and I actually for it down in very small bites. But ultimately bread, white Pasta, white rice and tough meets are not an option:)

How bad was the experience? im having some issues right now. i may need to get some fill removed. Ive found that roast pork, at least until i had this fill, was a meat i could eat and tolerate well. Im baking roast pork now for the family. it will be interesting to see how i go with a mouthful tonight.

neener1970 39 Posted May 20, 2012 I gave up white bread but until this last fill I could do tortillas. After this last fill I had the most horrible episode with a flour tortilla after a major amount of serious discomfort I realized it was coming back up. It was the first time I got sick and it was textbook sliming. I will never eat them again! I can do rye corn tortillas and orowheat sandwich thins but small bites chew well. It's all about the restriction. I also discovered chopped steak was a no no the hard way. Only been sick three times but I learned from it! That's why they call the band the general

I got an intense pain in the center of my chest and I started salivating like I would vomit and my nose started running. Leaning over seems to help some, then I drank a few sips of Water and it went down. But I had gas pains the rest of the day. Never again. I am 6 days post-op and I do not have any fills. I thought the tenderloin would have been ok. It is juicy and you can cut it with a fork. Oh well. Did your roast pork go down?
