angelblessed 9 Posted May 19, 2012 was banded on the 16th, came home that day and have been moving around every since, however when I do have pain it will be the gas stopping me in my tracks. It looks like I'm more bloated today than the day I came home. Another thing, is it possible to feel your port move when you bend over and is that bad? I have lost 15lbs since the 4th and happy about that but for some reason I'm really worried about these gas pains shutting me down.
Sal58 4 Posted May 19, 2012 I used heating pad on my shoulders and drank lots of peppermint tea. Just sipping slowly. I felt that way after I got home as well but once the gas starts to shift you will feel so much better. It took me several weeks for it to be completly gone but each day you will feel a little bit better. If you have any concerns about your port you should call your doctors office. I am sure follow up care was part of the deal so take advantage of it. Best of luck and keep us posted.
angelblessed 9 Posted May 19, 2012 So glad to see someone else went through this because I tell you, I was beginning to think this was my end. Lol but I will definitely go get peppermint tea ASAP.
Grandma3 73 Posted May 19, 2012 Walk, walk, walk and take gas-x to help the gas. If you had a hiatal hernia repair you may get some diaphram pain too. As for the port, my surgeon told me it can be sensitive to lay on for 3-4 weeks. Although I could lay on mine after 4 days.
