lyndss 1 Posted May 17, 2012 I'm exactly a week post op. I go in Monday for my first fill. I've been having trouble with Protein Shakes. They make me want to puke. It goes in my mouth and I'm like I cant even, I've tried several different kinds. Different flavors and everything. Since I'm on a full liquid diet in eating hardly any protein...besides the little bit of cottage cheese I have been eating because of lack of protein! My doctor called today and I told her she asked of my hair was falling out! Ahhh! Well it's not but I'm scared it will start. I did take Biotin but they said I was taking to much:/ any ideas!? esmlaura 4 Posted May 17, 2012 My dr. told me today if you take too much Biotin it won't hurt you..it is just a waste of money cause you will urinate the excess right down the toilet. : )

LadyMaggie 145 Posted May 17, 2012 I had a difficult time with the Protein Shakes too (thickness) but I can tolerate the Protein Shots. I bought mine at GNC -- high on protein; low on sugar ~ Good Luck ~
Jim1967 3,569 Posted May 17, 2012 wow a fill at one week post op. That seems a little soon. You're still healing up. Strange the different ways Docs do things....

workingclassdog 0 Posted May 17, 2012 I take the Slim Fast and add plain Protein to it and blend. Every doc is different so this may be a no no?? It's my favorite so far though for Protein Drinks.< /p>
m1aman 944 Posted May 17, 2012 I suggest you google Biotin overdose and read the many links. It is possible to overdose on Vitamins. Some more than others. I'm not saying it is likely..... just check it out for yourself. PS: diabetics should be aware of Biotin overdose
