jude0426 0 Posted March 4, 2006 Hi, I sort of introduced myself on another thread. But, I will again, my name is Heather, and my surgery date is March 31st in Monterrey, MX with Dr. Sanchez. Anyway, for those of you who did go to Mexico how easy is it to find a doctor to do the fills up here? And what are the costs involved? I have been doing a bit of research myself and feel pretty confident I won't have any trouble finding someone, but I would like personal opinions/experience. Thanks. JanetC 2 Posted March 4, 2006 Hiya Heather!! I know it varies by state / doctor. I've heard some charge through the nose to pick up a patient. Others just charge $100 bucks, no matter who it is. I know our doctor will only take someone if they would have qualified for his program to begin with. In other words, you have to go through all the qualification steps, which are expensive (unless insurance covers it)!! After you qualify, though, he treats you just like one of his own.... freebit 0 Posted March 8, 2006 I have found that it is actually cheaper to fly to San Diego from Portland and get the fill done in Mexico than it is to get the fill done in the states. Besides Doc Sanchez is awesome. The customer service is so much better in mexico than here in the states. Of course this may be different for you since you live further away. I am looking at around $800 to fly and stay in mexico for fills, so I think it maybe cheaper to find something around here for now. We are moving back to So.
