PattyGirl66 1,243 Posted May 12, 2012 I am praying that I can swallow a small Multivitamin pill because I just spent $10 on a bottle of Centrum chewables and it made me sick ( I am not even banded yet) I just am making sure I have everything prepared beforehand. Letsdothis 2 Posted May 12, 2012 My surgeon recommended flintstone chewables with iron...
terinrs 1 Posted May 12, 2012 Several of my friends do the Flintsone's chewables and don't have a problem with them. I ordered mine from Celebrate Vitamins online. They have several flavors and you can order a sample pack preop and decide which flavor works best for you. I go back and forth between Mandarin Orange and Blackberry for the Multivitamins. They have a chewable Iron in Grape that is pretty good. Good Luck!
Toddy 758 Posted May 12, 2012 I used to recommend the Centrum chewables... but now they give me a full body shudder every time I take one!! I think I'm going to have to try Flintstones.
Amanda Mae 22 Posted May 12, 2012 I found a powered Multi-Vitamin at GNC that has 10G of Protein in it - I use it as one Protein Shake a day and get all of my Vitamins - they had chocolate and vanilla - I found a few containers that were set to expire in 6 months and they start marking them down. Jen75 33 Posted May 13, 2012 Try a liquid Vitamin. It's what has worked for me... I could stand the chewables! Also, have to take them at night because of food in my belly. Couldn't do on an empty tummy either! Good luck!
m1aman 944 Posted May 13, 2012 I take a Flintstones chewable with Iron in the AM and a Centrum Silver chewable in the PM. Plus I have now started on some Biotin. Even taking all three of those is not as complete as taking an old fashioned Centrum multivitamin. Something about the chewables that makes them less complete than a regular Vitamin I guess. I tried the orange flavored Centrum chewables but I just couldn't stand them after a few weeks. They seemed to taste worse with time for me.
Jepegurl 23 Posted May 15, 2012 I take the vista fusion Gummy Multivitamins. They taste like a gummy bear so it's basically a snack!

But they do taste great the chalky chewables made me sick every time I couldn't stand them I'm not in my green zone yet so I'm hoping I can keep taking my gummies once I'm there. I'm with ya on the chalky chews-yuck! I'm having trouble finding Calcium citrate chews. I have found tabs and I break them in half but I have to take 6 to 8 whole tabs, 12 to 16 half, to get my requirement. No thanks.
readytogoforit 172 Posted May 16, 2012 I take liquid vitamins and Calcium. I get them at the Vitamin Shoppe and my coop. Be aware that the flintstones and Centrum may contain artifical sugars, which are thought to cause and continue belly fat. It costs more to get the liquid vits. but I know I am getting "the real thing" with no added sugar.

Thanks for the info Ready, but i think i am going to end up going with the ones the DRs have at the office.I had previously checked about liquid, and my nutritionist stated she did not recommend liquid, due to it losing its potency. Apparently just sitting on the shelf, it can lose some of the potency, so you arent actually getting the amount on the labels. Who knew?? The ones at the office comes in crystal form so i can add it to Water. That should be easier to swallow. ^_~
