You could maybe wait a couple of days but if you're constantly getting stuck then you're too tight. Keep an eye on it.

Definately too soon to have a meal. Clear Liquids for at least 24 hours afterwoods would have suited your band better im sure. Can you try going back onto clear liquids for 24hours and see what happens then?

Do you go on liquids after a fill? If not, you should, so your stomach and have to time to adjust and stop swelling. It's normal to be tighter than usual after a fill, for me it usually takes about 5 days for things to settle and me to be able to eat normal again.

Sometimes there is swelling after a fill. Every time there is a learning curve for me after a fill. Smaller bites, chewing more, slowing down. there might be a food I can no longer tolerate. My 4th fill I ended up slightly overfilled. I put up with it for a week. When I got stuck on mashed potatoes and then yogurt, I have up and went in for a slight unfill.

I'd had 1cc put in, I had .5cc taken out. It was instant relief! A month later I went back and had 1cc put in and was fine there for a year. So, go figure.

What is getting stuck? chicken, breads, rice, mashed potatoes, salads? Are you taking very small bites and eating very slowly? I got stuck a lot at fill 3 but it was my own fault. I ate too fast and put too much food in my face. It's a learning process and I'm still learning. I'm on fill 5 and got stuck at Breakfast this morning but only for 10 minutes.

I see we share the same birthday only 41 years apart.

i had a fill on wednesday and there is swelling for sure. i had liquids yesterday and even that was a bit hard.. but hot liquid did help a bit. today im on thicker Soup and even that, plus Protein Drink with banana, is hard going down. not backing up but just a tad sore? im staying on Soups for another couple of days. i want everything to settle down properly before i go onto solids again.

Sounds like you are too tight. If 72 hours after the fill you can't eat 3 oz solid Protein you are too tight and need a slight unfill.

Interesting...didn't know you had to watch what you eat right after a feel....in terms of getting stuck. Thanks for sharing your story and knowledge with us.

Blessings,

im four days out from my first fill and have to be careful. we just celebrated mothers day, and i had my afternoon with my elderly mum who is in a hospital. i took in some yummy cheeses, bikkies, wine, grapes, chocs. we had a picnic. i came out feeling great. im so pleased i was able to share it with her. i think its the last mothers day we will share together. She said it was the best... we had light classical music playing in the background as well.

I had my first fill on wednesday. i have some difficulty still trying to eat meat. i can have about a 1/4 of a thin hamburger, and a little vege. but, im not hungry. im still having Protein Shakes. Im also having thick Soup until monday night.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
