Bree Price 14 Posted May 9, 2012 Hello everyone! I am in the process of doing my 6 month supervised dr visits and was wondering what if anything did you all use to help lose some weight at the beginning or to jump start it. Also, my boys will be 1 and 6 years old when I have my surgery done and I was wondering how long you have to go without lifting things? How did you do that with your children because there are times that it is unavoidable.
kbliss78 123 Posted May 9, 2012 My dr told me I could lift my two year old if she was under 30 lbs and after the first three days. I am on day two post op an there is no way I can lift her. I am in way too much pain.
Jennifer LaRusso 3 Posted May 10, 2012 My doctor is more reserved. I cannot lift anything heavier than 10 lbs for 1 month. I have a 3 & 4 year old. What I did with them is lift up my shirt to show them mommy had a boo boo and can't pick them up. They were genuinely concerned and I have gotten some great help from them doing things.
