says_simon 10 Posted May 9, 2012 This may be off topic, but I don't know which area to ask this question. My pants are a waist size 46. For about two weeks, they have been so loose that they fall off and I don't unbotton them anymore. My belt, which had always been on the loosest hole got too big and I had to buy a new belt. The last hole on the old belt was too loose. So anyway, I just measured my waist for the first time, and it was 46. So what gives? I KNOW I've lost inches! alb729 11 Posted May 9, 2012 It is impossible to lose almost 40 pounds and expect to not have your pants become loose. Perhaps your waist size was geared toward the loosest hole and now you need that other belt...besides...its about the loose pants, the scales and how you feel and what you see...come on now...you know what gives...your pants...try on another size like a size 42 and see how that is....lol...you know you are getting smaller... cunner 21 Posted May 9, 2012 I feels pretty good doesn't it ?? I was a 40 and I recently had to get some 32 inch waist pants as my 34's kept falling down. I haven't been a 32 for over 18 years. For so many years I used to go the the dresser or closet and find the loosest pants (pleats, expanding waists etc) as they were the only ones that would button as I was in denial of my growing size. I now have to search for the smaller pants as the big ones keep falling down. My 7 year old daughter thought it was necessary to run through the house to tell my wife that "Dad was wearing Jeans !!" I could never find a pair of jeans that fit right. They either were so tight I couldn't move or the crotch of my pants hung to my knees. I was just saying last night that its time to go through the closet again and cull out the 2nd round of big clothes. Keep it up. It won't be long until you need all new clothes
lifebegins2012 21 Posted May 9, 2012 My work trousers were too loose and I could take them down without undoing the button/zip and hook. I went to buy a smaller pair but they didnt fit so had to buy the same sized trousers again. When I measured the waistband on my old trousers tho, I had stretched it 3" as my stomach grew!! It could just be that you've done the same Simon. We tend to wear the same 'comfy' clothes day in and day out and the regular washing/wearing will mean the fibres loosen
says_simon 10 Posted May 9, 2012 People!! Omidog! I just tried on my partner's size 40s, and they fit! Granted, they may be stretched out and I may be a 42, but still, how awesome! I can't buy new pants until I have some money. I think I should wait until I'm a 38 so we don't get our clothes mixed up.
says_simon 10 Posted May 9, 2012 I'm just still shocked that I am actually losing weight. It's such a novelty. I haven't been at this weight for 20 years. I tried and tried and nothing worked. It's hard to believe that this is really working.
