KristinsMommy 145 Posted May 9, 2012 people keep telling me not to get lapband surgery because you put the weight back on again. Can anyone tell me if this is true? Also that you are still hungry? it's only true if you don't do the lifestyle changes that go along with lap band
chelan 7 Posted May 12, 2012 Yes Thank You but then what is the point I do not get it? Why not just do the lifestyle changes and then you will loose weight regardless what is the point of spending all that money on the surgery? Am I missing something here? I mean look at Carnie Wilson. What does the surgery actually do for you.
Jepegurl 23 Posted May 12, 2012 Lap band helps with Portion Control and suppresses hunger.
bigenuff 302 Posted May 13, 2012 Yes Thank You but then what is the point I do not get it? What does the surgery actually do for you. For me it was hard to stick to the changes pre lap band.now I've had the band 7 weeks.and I can't over eat.I will get sick if I try.I could however eat ice-cream all day and gain weight but I think that's where " I spent all this money" comes in.but it not only helps with Portion Control it also stops u from feeling hungry by squeezing the nerves that send signals to ur brain that says ur hungry.but it is a TOOL not a magic bullet. I don't think most people are fat because they want to be,they need help to do what they are supposed to do.The lap band is that help.
