How Long Should It Take Me To Reach Onderland?

Recommended Posts

I am newly banded. My surgery was on 3/28. Down 20 pounds so far. I had a one week pre-op diet. I am dying to lose these last 30 pounds then I will meet my short term goal of 200 pounds. Experienced bandsters, How long did it take you guys to lose 30 pounds post op? Mind you I only eat 500-800 calories daily if that and I make sure I incorporate cardio into my day every day for at least 30 minutes. Some days 60 minutes.

You can't, and should not, gauge your weight loss on others. Everyone's body is different and everyone's metabolism works differently. If you gauge off others' weight loss you're setting yourself up for pointless disappointment .

It'll come off, just be patient :)

I agree with Mis73; we are all individuals, and no two of us will have the same experiences during this weight loss journey.

There are several things which can slow your weight loss down, 2 of the key ones are 1. Not getting enough Protein every day, and 2. Not consuming enough calories daily.

My surgeon has told me to focus on the measured volume of all the foods I eat, with every meal consisting of 3 oz (by volume) lean Protein, and 2 oz (by volume) of a Fiber carbohydrate. One carb serving every day can be a "complex carb".

To use my surgeon's formula really simplifies planning my meals.

Keep up your great work, and also focus on your goals!
