The post-op diet is for healing of your stomach, and you can increase the risks of problems occurring by eating normally because your stomach is not supposed to be churning to digest right now. Why would you go thru all this to get banded to screw it up in a week you can strech your stomach too. If you can not get a handle on it now the band will not do you any good so buck up and follow the rules.. Sorrry if i hurt your feelings but i say it like i see it..
