jessicarage 3 Posted May 2, 2012 My insurance company requires a 6 Month diet before the band, and I was wondering how much weight should I lose? If I loose too much maybe they will think I don't need the band and if don't lose any they may feel I'm not motivated enough for the band.... kll724 3,055 Posted May 2, 2012 I actually lost about 30 lbs. My surgeon's offcie had me on phen, I took 1/2 pill for 6 months. I had no problem getting approved, as I had high blood pressure and other problems. I, also, had much history of dieting when I when to the nutrionist which was included in my report.
