Wheety3 5 Posted April 30, 2012 I am having some similar experience but only in the morning for the most part. I have been researching and in my case I think I am getting dehydrated. I am trying to take in more Water and see if that helps. Are you getting your water in?

Wheety3 5 Posted April 30, 2012 Not drinking anything is not good. You definately need to be drinking your Water and Protein Shakes. Not doing that will definately cause some issues. You may want to call your doctor to see why you cant get anything down. Dont wait too long, it can become serious. Good Luck.
Jess55 97 Posted April 30, 2012 I mentioned in another thread of yours if you can't get liquids down comfortably. Call your doc and see if there is Fluid in your band. You're going to become dehydrated if you aren't already and if you're lightheaded you probably are. This is nothing to mess with. You say you are 7 days post op, you should be able to drink fine. gottobeme 81 Posted May 1, 2012 Several years ago I had a bout with cryptosporidiosis and ended up in the ER to receive IV fluids because of dehydration. From what you are describing it sounds like you are dehydrated. I was warned that the number one problem post op is dehydration so if your not getting your Water and Protein in it will not get better. I agree with Jess55 you need to call your doc. If you feel too sick to keep things down your doc needs to know, there are meds that can be prescribed that could help. It's amazing how much better you feel when you're well hydrated - I speak from experience!
