brlgirl 112 Posted April 30, 2012 Hello everyone. I was offically banded on Thursday the 26th. I am just posting because I didn't have the patience to use my phone to actually write the post. I am 4 days post op and my belly is very bruised and the abdominal muscles are sure sore. I have also had alot of that wierd "twingy" feeling that comes from the herina repair. sleeping has been tricky since turning over has been painful...but I know that won't last forever. I have been sipping Protein Drinks and Water but will occassionally feel extrememly dizzy...is this because I need to drink more Protein? To be real honest, I am afraid to drink too much and get the horrid nausia that I had at the surgery center. I also had a good laugh...since i have been on the search for weight loss forever I have a scale in the bathroom and every morning I step on to see what it says. I stepped on it right before leaving for the surgery center and was at 252...when I got home I stood on it again and nearly cried when I saw that it said 262...Later, after catching my breath, I realized that of course it would be heavier...I mean the "shot" me full of air, meds, and water. I was very, very happy to see today that the scale is back to where it was when I left for surgery. Guess in my "loopy" mind I was hoping that I had already lost a bunch...but it's ok...i'll get there.
kah1213 311 Posted April 30, 2012 I would have panicked with a 10 lb gain too! Lol. Congrats on starting your journey!
Myshel65 5 Posted April 30, 2012 Wow our story is soooo similar. I was banded 4/26 and thought I gained too but the weight since surgery has been coming off so fast. Obviously because we can barely eat but still. I've lost a pound a day and started at 265 before 5 day liquid diet. Now I'm at 255 I cant wait to see the 230's which I literally haven't seen in about 3 years!! Whoooo we can do it! I'm so excited

But I have to say I am better stronger and more refreshed every day. It will get better for us. Ahhhh yes under 200 pounds....I know I'll cry tears of joy that day!! gale_1016 18 Posted April 30, 2012 I can't wait to see the 230's either! I was 248 the morning of surgery & today, a week later I'm 243. It's only 5 lbs, but I'm still convinced I have some swelling in my belly considering I still can't suck my tummy in! I was 236 when I got pregnant with my son. He's almost 10 months old....way too long to be holding on to baby weight!!!
