Teasie 0 Posted March 1, 2006 Hello everyone. I am scheduled for March 23 with Dr. Joya in Puerto Vallarta. Very excited, very scared. I have been on the Thanksgiving diet (when you feel you can breath again, you eat some more) for a while now. I am so looking forward to a tool to teach me Portion Control. I am so glad I found this site because I have so many questions, and have found so many answers here.

Teasie 0 Posted March 1, 2006 And I do have some questions that I have not asked yet. Are any of the cuts at waistband or bra band? After my laproscopic hysterectomy, it took forever for me to be able to wear jeans again (I wear high waist). Wondered if this was going to be a repeat. Does it help to wear tight clothing, or is it better to wear loose clothing, or does it matter? Where is your port? If you had a choice, would you move it to another location? I have lots more, but that is a starting point.
ShadyLady 0 Posted March 1, 2006 All of my cuts are right in between my waistband and my bra. My port is to the left of my bellybutton. Wear loose clothing because you'll be swollen and a little sore. So far I wouldn't change a thing!
DonnaB 3 Posted March 1, 2006 Hi Teasie, Welcome to LBT. I'm being banded next Tuesday in Monterrey, Mexico by Dr. Roberto Rumbaut. He says my port will be a few inches above my left hip bone but most of the "scar-share" pictures here show it higher and closer to the middle. Not sure why there's a difference. Good luck to you and don't spend too much time on the "Complications" thread. It gets too scary and you'll need to be coaxed back out from under the bed! lol Best wishes and again, welcome.
