Holly Dolly 575 Posted April 29, 2012 Yes, there are plenty of cute clothes to wear! My other goal is to buy a ridiculously expensive jeans...and no fat calves are gonna keep me from doing that when the time comes! THow funny, that's what I am buying when I reach my goal! Hopefully they will be size 4!
ambutterfly2008 3 Posted April 29, 2012 Been there with the boots. I can wear them now but they are very tight. I lose very very slow in my calves. Still hoping to buy very expensive jeans though in a size 4 or I would settle for a six. Indeed to stop playing around and lose these last 15 pounds. Grr. Kiskis 56 Posted May 5, 2012 I bought a pair at about 180 lbs. I am 5"5 and a size 7. Mine are Clarks & i love them. I wore them all winter with leggings! It was part of the new me. Maybe my leg workouts paid off? Maybe next winter. Good luck!

Sojourner 2,446 Posted May 29, 2012 I have never really gained much weight in my legs, and really believe that they are well out of proportion with the rest of me...well, at least used to be...the proportions are changing for the better now! The boots are made for the slim figure, no doubt. Yes, I am able to wear them, but have always believed that for the average woman, especially the ones who have built a healthy amount of muscle on their calves would have a very tight fit in them. As others have mentioned, we are all unique, and there are numerous other choices you can make to be your own unique and fashionable you! Congratulations on your weight loss!! NurseDana 32 Posted June 15, 2012 Thanks for all the replies ladies! I guess we are all different, but... I guess my calves aren't too fat after all! Can we say NSV??
PandorasBox92264 61 Posted June 15, 2012 Naturalizer carrys a wider calf version of alot of their styles. You can get them at some of the Macy's, DSW, Famous Footwear. If you cannot find the style you like in the store then check out online and then take back to a physical store location. Also, something to think of is that most people I know wear a larger boot size than a shoe size. The calf will also widen slightly! You generally wear them with trouser socks or something of that nature. Also, Torrid, Avenue those stores sometimes have a shoe department in them and carry boots. Make sure to check out what they are made of though, as for me I have some of the man made ones but prefer leather boots since they breath better and fit better as they warm up to you. You could also have boots made, I know it is costly but they can be made to your proper size and will last! 1 newskinnygal reacted to this
khath0620 20 Posted July 20, 2012 I have lost about 112 and still can't wear regular boots! Ugh!
RahRahRah 22 Posted August 24, 2012 . I will never be able to wear a spaghetti strap shirt or dress in public because my skin is so bad on my arms. I don't really want to bother with plastic surgery and the cost. This is me now and even with the weight I will be hoping to lose, it doesnt sound like my flabby arms will get better. Trying the toning and using a kettlebell too. Really hoping I can do something about it though because I still have about 80lbs to go.
Whitney78 7 Posted September 1, 2012 A few years ago I aw a size 4/6 140lbs and I still couldn't wear tall boots.
MellioM 116 Posted September 1, 2012 I willprobably never wear regular tall boots. I bought a pair of wide calf ones online last year. I loved the look but the material made me itch like crazy! I am a runner now and my calves are huge. The difference is that I look at my calves and see the definition in them and I'm in awe at what they can do. My legs look HOT in heels!!!! I cant wait to see them when.I get closer to goal. I still have 52lbs to lose.
kvr1977 28 Posted September 9, 2012 I used to be thin about 15 years ago and my legs were still big. I always had trouble finding tall boots to fit comfortably. I found some that had leather in front and stretchy material in the back. Kinda like a spandex. They were awesome! I'm sure there are still boots like that out there somewhere. They were very comfy too

mkb805 23 Posted November 3, 2012 I have always been on the heavy side but a few years ago when I was 197 I was able to find boots that actually fit! I got them at Payless Shoes. I only bought them because finally for the first time I was able to find some that actually zipped. It will take a while but keep trying. Eventually you will find that one pair perfect for you! I am 257 now but looking forward to my old shoes fitting!
