rebirth198 6 Posted April 27, 2012 Ok it's been 4 days of chest pain from gas. Why can't they just take it out!!! Walking didt help eating hurts because I feel full. My heart rare changes. Omg I'm so miserable I can't belch. Talked to a massage therapist today and she said the gas can cause a heart attack!!! What now? Do I call the dr?
NWgirl 574 Posted April 27, 2012 A massage therapist is not a medical Dr- in fact, the only thing they know medically is muscle/bone anatomy. The gas will slowly dissolve over the period of a couple weeks. Some suggest using gas X strips. I have also heard drinking peppermint tea helps.
rebirth198 6 Posted April 27, 2012 Gas x did nothing:( trying the tea now. I need a break! Still glad I did it though:)
running_scared 125 Posted April 27, 2012 Just keep walking. And make sure to keep up on your pain meds, so you can do all that walking. After about 3 days, I was able to start belching.
TracieR 88 Posted April 27, 2012 Walking to break it up, a heating pad and pain meds were the only thing that helped me get through it! Good luck!
Lilbelly 31 Posted April 27, 2012 I think probably the more you move the more the gas will come out. I had 2 c- sections and a hysteretomy, moving is the key to getting out gas. Good luck!

rebirth198 6 Posted April 28, 2012 Thanks guys the peppermint tea worked really quickly. I also got a back massage that helped to move it around too. Ifit happends again I'm trying the "toot" juice:) I also like the movement from being in the car.
