lltaylor_2003 1 Posted April 26, 2012 Just wanted to check in and do some reading for some ideas and tips. I love reading all the posts! I have LB surgery on April 16, 2012 and I have lost 22 pounds so far. I actually lost 18 pounds in my pre-op diet (10 days) before surgery. Since surgery, I've lost 4 more! So thrilled about my weight loss. My clothes are looser and I feel better about myself! So far everything has gone great! Just some soreness after surgery, but that is much better now. I have an appointment with my doctor May 2. Will keep everyone updated!

m.boyer 8 Posted April 26, 2012 Awesome! I was banded the same day. I lost 14lbs prior, and since surgery have lost another 12. I am so happy I made this decision.
Jepegurl 23 Posted April 26, 2012 I was banded 4/18 and I've lost 14 lbs since that day. It's about to slow down though. I'm getting hungrier....
Thamm 46 Posted April 26, 2012 7 day post op... 14 pounds!! So excited!! I am having a hard time with drinking the Protein Shake. It feels as if I have ate a buffet of food. It just fills me up to fast but I can drink smoothies? ?? Also today I had a scare incident at the mall. I got shaky, sweaty, vision blurred.. Realized my blood sugar had dropped and have not had enough too eat! And I'm a nurse!! I have to realize I have to eat and drink but it is so hard.

Can't drink it all at once tho. Usually takes a few hours
Wheety3 5 Posted April 27, 2012 Thanks for the tip Jepegurl! That sounds yummy. I am having problems getting all the shake down. I have lost 11 lbs post-op (4/20) and thought it was too much. Looks like a lot of other people are losing as much and more. I just need to get more Water in. I sip throughout the day but I just get so full. I did find that drinking heated broth helps in the morning. Something warm seems to help me get my Protein Shake down. Oh so slowly.
Passionatehrt 15 Posted April 27, 2012 I wanna share my stats too I was banded on 4/19 and Im down 24 lbs...17 was from preop. Im supposed to do shakes and creamy Soups but Im full for hours. The shakes take forever to get down and the Soup feels like Thanksgiving...Im glad Im not alone in this feeling. Greek yogurt goes down okay though. Going to try have a Protein Shake for lunch and keep doing the yogurt for Protein.< /p>
