I had a real hard time eating Jello post-op, but was able to eat SF pudding. Something with the jello texture did not jive for me that first week. I even felt nauesous with the jello, and nothing else has made me feel that way.

I'm on day three too. I'm down 10lbs! Unbelievable. I'm eating thicker liquids with mo problem loving the 35 g Protein ensure. I'm much more hungry today and thsts good because I didn't eating yesterday. The chest pain is the worst. Walked for an hr with no relief. But pain meds help. Panera bread broccoli cheese Soup has been a good friend too. Lol think I'll have some now! Hungry again!

I too am on day 3. I am feeling great. Im off pain meds but i am a bit sore by evening. I have dropped about 5lbs. which isnt surprising given that liquids are the only thing on the menu for a while. I am feeling great!

Took a hot shower and it worked wonders for the gas pain. Now I'm trying this rocking method cause walking didn't matter. Best of luck

day 4 here for me as well. struggling with the Protein Shakes. i'm not a big fan of milk. but also doing the kellogs Protein Powder (5g Protein, 5g fiber). also chicken Soup broth. i'm not sure if i can have broccoli & cheese soup. dr. says as long as i can get it through a straw (without using one) then i can have it. not a big fan of Jello either.

stopped pain meds today. no nausea, but lots of gas. walking helps :)

best of luck to you all though!

I'm new here. I had my surgery on Tuesday. I am having some horrible chest pains though pretty much the only thing that has hurt consistently.

I don't eat the bits in the Soup. Try rocking for chest pain and watch you body position

Day 4 chest pain still hurts. But it's not as frequent yay! I'm up and dressed. I'm going to try leaving the house today. Today's goal is to increase Water intake. I'm determined to return to work Monday.

Hi all, I'm on day 4. I had a bit of an emotional breakdown this morning but my mom & boyfriend pulled me through. I'm having a hard time getting liquids down. I'm having trouble with sf Jello but I got some Greek yogurt down without trouble. Liquids are still difficult for me, I know I'm dehydrated and I'm trying very hard to get them down.

I know exactly how you feel! I have an on Q pain pump stuck in my stomach that I'm gonna have to pull out myself, the thought of it grosses me out! And I can take a shower until the pain pump is out... Nassssty!

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
