Port Area Pain

Hello,

I was banded one week ago. I am having a pulling pain at the port site. I cannot get comfortable.Has anyone else had this type of pain..I move the wrong way and it feels as if there is a pulling and "catching" in the area. Is this normal?

I had that too around day five or six it started and lasted a couple of weeks. My dr said it was the muscle healing around the port. It flipping hurt! I was convinced I had popped a stitch and it was stabbing me

Yes it is normal. The port was stitched to your ab muscle and it will take the longest to heal. Try some over the counter med for pain. Good luck!

I'm 3 weeks post op and still get this type of pain. Can not wait for it to stop. It hurts!!

Ok makes sense that the port was stitched to the abd muscle...makes me feel better. As the pulling and catching sensation was making me feel that there was an issue...

Healing is going on and I am also itching alot....

I had it and still have it 3 weeks post op! It almost takes my breath away is stings so bad!
