OMG my thoughts and prayers are with her. This really scares me now since I just had my surgery three weeks ago but I never knew about the 50/50 chance of the band slipping.

holy cow this is terrible!!! I am in shock, I've never ever heard of someone dying from a slip before.

Sorry to hear this, her input here wll be greatly missed. If she died from a slip thats really scary. Im newly banded and this is terrifying. My prayers go out to her family. RIP Shirley. May God keep you safe in his arms.
