Lose100 178 Posted April 25, 2012 I understand that the first month is for healing and not for weight loss. I also understand the once I started mushies and regular foods I probably gain some weight but not 3 lbs in one week. I have a protien shake for Breakfast, Jello for snack, 3 oz fish with 1-2 oz of broccoli for lunch, fat free pudding for snack, and 3 oz fish with 1-2 oz broccoli for dinner. I don't understand how I gained 3 lbs. I am not retaining Water. HELP!!!!!!
Dibley Dawn 84 Posted April 25, 2012 stop looking at the scale for the next week at the very least. you shouldn't be weighing at all the first month. your body has had a shock and it will just go up and down. you will settle in eventually and the weight will come off. really, lock the scale up and have someone hide the key until you are out of the mushy phase and onto solid foods. this weight gain is totally normal. mandagay 93 Posted April 25, 2012 Ur body naturally fluctuates 2-3 lbs. if u are like me and feel like u just have to weigh every day, u need to be aware of this fluctuation and not let it get u down. U r in the healing stage and need to be good to yourself emotionally (stop beating urself up) as well as physically. Ur body will comply, just give it some time. Dibley Dawn 84 Posted April 25, 2012 also, when you do start to weigh, only weigh yourself at the same time everyday. You will be 1-3 pounds lighter in the morning and at the end of the day, 1-3 pounds heavier.
