My doctor insists on 60 minutes of cardio 5-6 times a week. If you increase the number of days you are exercising that might help. :)

Although the scale might be on vacation right now.....have you thought about measuring yourself?Sometimes we are building muscles and our bodies start to change shape. It might help to have a base measurement of you waist, thigh, arms, calfs...and when the scale stops, switch to measuring yourself, you may see some differences and that will help you keep motivated during the slow times.

Also I would suggest shocking your sysytem. Change up your exercise routine. If you always do 30 mins on a treadmil, try doing 30 mins on the elliptical.Consider adding an extra day of exercising. Same thing with diet. If you aren't already doing a high protein/low carb diet...consider shocking your system by depriving it of carbs for a couple of weeks.....that usually works for me.

Waitingpatiently offers good advice! Sometimes you need to "shock" your system into going, either by doing a temporary increase of Protein or good carbs, depending on which works best for you.

I also agree, I'd try to notice size change rather than weight change. There's a good chance you're not losing pounds right now but are losing inches.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
