I'm pre-op. I had a gigantic lettuce salad with turkey, tomatoes, and cucumbers, and two Greek yogurts. After all that, I am STILL hungry and looking forward to the day when I feel full with "normal" portions of food.< /p>

tonight is the night we have to go to a sushi restaurant for my work. So I will have about 5-6 spoonfuls of some kind of raw fish and probably some Miso Soup. I think my poor hubby will have a harder time with it...he is more of a meat and potatoes country boy....lol I told him he could have a burger on his way home

LOL I am on my preop diet so sure wont be any of those things for me. I am having my 2nd protien shake (saving it for dinner) and my cup of carrots with some italaian dressing, also got 2 more dairys and 2 cups of milk so going to do some sugar free pudding in there somewhere and maybe a yougut. I also have one more no sugar added fudge sycle left for the day. I have yet to eat my first popsycle. I did have chicken broth ( drained progresso low sodium Soup 2 xs today. For lunch i had that a cup of lettuce and my 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 1/2 cup peaches and actually enjoyed it.

For any of you who are drinking crystal light i found the BEST flavor this week. Its appletina and it tastes just like one sooo YUMMY. I also got a margirita one but not tried it yet.

Smmrsue appreciates the ban on fried chicken strips. Tonight I'm making Argentinian steak with lighter Chimichurry sauce and green Beans. Very low cal, lots of Protein, and super delicious.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
