lovecats85 2 Posted February 28, 2006 Ok, I got my 4th fill and after that I PB'd ALOT and started having tummy pain. After 13 days or so of that I went and got a little unfill and made sure I hadn't slipped. I feel great now as far as eating is concerned, no PB's, etc. But, my port area is sore, like a pressure type pain. No redness or anything, but just dull pressure pain, especially after sitting for a while. Also, I noticed that I have a ton of scar tissue built up around my port, like 4 inches around my port, each way. Especially near my belly button there is a real hard nodule of tissue. Also, I had my belly button pierced 10+ years ago and I took it our because my body was trying to force out the ring, and all this scar tissue built up in my belly button. Well, as my port scar tissue has expanded over the last 5 months I guess it connected with that b/c now my belly button is all sore and the hole from my belly button ring is hurting. I go see the doc in 2 weeks and I will ask him, but I just thought I'd run it by ya'll. Does anyone else have ALOT of scar tissue and port pain? When will this scar tissue build up stop? NJChick 3 Posted February 28, 2006 You poor dear, my gosh that does sound painful. The only thing I notice is when I'm at work (sitting) my port side gets sore & irritated. I slouch so I'm sure that doesn't help either. One thing I do know is scar tissue can be very painful. I have lots of it due to 2 other operations but so far I havent noticed anything with the port scar. Feel better  Let us know what the doctor says. DeLarla 22 Posted February 28, 2006 I had that same hard scar tissue, like the size of a grapefruit. But now it's only the size of a golfball, so mine is getting smaller.
banded_for_life 2 Posted February 28, 2006 I am like Eileen...I have to remind myself to sit up straight or my port area starts hurting.
Tricia K. 0 Posted February 28, 2006 I'm sorry that you're going through this. Fortunately, I haven't developed any scar tissue (that I can tell, of course). I hope you find relief soon.
