QueenieBee 2 Posted April 20, 2012 Ok, I'm about to be able to begin eating solids and I'm really scared! I tried scrambled eggs the other day and they got stuck! It was horrible so now I'm afraid to eat. Help ease my fears Banded- April
LB4Me 35 Posted April 20, 2012 Start slowly. Make sure everything is moist. Cut it into little pieces and chew, chew, chew. Start with things like moist fish and ground meat.< /p>
scorpiolady 83 Posted April 20, 2012 I started with mashed potatoes, Soups, fish. I'm still eating soft foods and was banded 4/2. I don't feel restriction but I sure don't want to mess up my band either. Only time I find I have a hard time is if I eat too fast. Gotta slow myself down. I'm taking baby steps,
scottscottf 0 Posted April 20, 2012 I got banded 3/28 and I get shoulder pain when I attempt to eat something a little solid. Is that normal.
adorkbl 156 Posted April 20, 2012 Scrambled eggs are not always band friendly. I actually avoid them. So don't be scared. Try something that is moist and chew chew chew.
Cazzy 725 Posted April 20, 2012 I cannot eat scrambled eggs at all even after being banded over a 1yr so i would avoid them too ..
elcee 3,341 Posted April 20, 2012 If you want eggs then try soft poached - they are far easier to eat.
honk 780 Posted April 20, 2012 I was not told to eat eggs until week 4 or 5. I started out with really thin yoghurt. I took Greek Yogurt and used Milk to thin it out. Other Mushie options are low/no fat cottage or ricotta cheese.< /p>
