My main goal when I decided to have lap band surgery was to get off blood pressure medication. I've lost 24 pounds and I am now completely off the BP meds. :D Now I have to re-set my goal to get down to a decent weight!

Good news. I hope for your sake that is a permanent change. I know from experience that blood pressure can go back up and that it is not always caused by excess weight. Sometimes the cause is unknown.
