stevemitchell 0 Posted February 27, 2006 Just got the insurance approval :clap2:, and am waiting for the evaluation/training meeting before surgery. Nervous. I've tried everything, dodged a bullet from 1½ years on Fen-Phen back in the 90's, and have just gotten so frustrated. I was even on Ionamin, Tenuate, and others as a child. I seem to have inherited a tendendcy to eat mechanically, whether I'm hungry or not. :hungry: Any advice for a soon-to-be-banded Newbie? stevemitchell
Dody 0 Posted February 27, 2006 I'm so glad you have chosen the path of lap banding. I'm not banded yet, but I too have done all the diet drugs. Unfortunately I had a heart attack because of them, so thank God that didn't happen to you. Everyone here is very supportive. I'm going to be banded in mid-April or early May I think, so I can't give you much info on being banded, except for the most part people seem happy with their bands. Here's to a better lifestyle for you, and welcome aboard.

DonnaB 3 Posted March 2, 2006 Hi, Welcome to LBT. When I first came here I kept wondering and asking about abbreviations in conversations. To make it easier for yourself you might want to check out the “FAQ’s and Resources” Forum. There are a couple of threads about abbreviations which will help you understand what people are talking about. HTH (hope this helps!) and good luck to you.
