Mrs. 2012 Banded 2 Posted April 16, 2012 Hi guys! I don't know if this is TMI (too much information), but I felt the need to ask! I was banded on March 12, 2012 and have really had no problems except for minor port area pain when I'm over working my self...oh yeah and every now and twice now I've gotten a small stomach ache when I eat. I get my first fill next Thursday. My question is: Has anyone else become a little irregular? I've been like clockwork since I was a teenager and me not feeling the urge to go has begun to interfere with my morning weigh ins. Just 2 pounds, but this early in the game for me....every pound counts! Has this happened to anyone else after "the band?" And if so, what can I do? Activia, laxative? I'm clueless! Thanks! 1 Mayabr / reacted to this
running_scared 125 Posted April 16, 2012 I'd try a water-soluble fibre supplement. I have IBS, and this one has been a godsend: http://www.helpforibs.com/shop/suplmts/acacia.asp It dissolves clear and lump-free in to liquids, it doesn't gel, and it doesn't give me gas either. I think Benefibre is the same type of thing, but it seems much more expensive to me.

running_scared 125 Posted April 16, 2012 Just make sure to gradually increase how much you take, or it can cause the Constipation to get worse. And as always, lots and lots of water!
armymom2012 51 Posted April 16, 2012 I had that issue early on as well. You might want to try Milk of Magnesia, it really helped me. I still have to take it now and then because of the lach of Fiber in this diet causes issues once in awhile.
cakelly73 28 Posted April 16, 2012 I had/have the same problem. I take 5 to 6 chewable fiber pills a day. You are eating less so, less in=less out
Fit in my 60's 25 Posted April 16, 2012 I asked my doctor about the same problem. I thought he'd say to take fiber pills or stool softner, but all he said was to drink lots and lots of Water.< /p>
Jachut 487 Posted April 16, 2012 Taking a fibre supplement is a good idea but also less in equals less out.
