I don't use a juicer. To me juice = high calorie. I have always been taught that it is better to eat the whole fruit than to drink juice. The whole fruit is more satisfying and you eat less than you would if you are drinking it.

But I know lots of people do use juicers and they swear by them.

I have a juicer. I get cravings for Vitamin k rich foods a couple times a year (always have... i'm sort of addicted to green leafy vegetables) and I <333 arugula. Arugula juice is a very special thing. I am trying to get in turmeric root for inflammation since we are supposed to avoid ibuprofen and I have joint problems. I juice ginger to help with stomach stuff and these colds I keep getting. I also drink beet juice for blood pressure, since the high amount of nitrates are supposed to help with that.

I have an Omega masticating juicer, but since I juice mainly roots and greens it gets more out of them, and it is a lot easier to clean (just need to rinse it) so I use it daily, like I should to get the benefits from the turmeric and beet juice. I had a centrifugal juicer years ago, and it was such a pain to clean and it made such a mess it went in the cabinet and stayed there. This one stays on the counter, so for me, it was worth paying more for it. If you want to get a home masticating juicer, Omega is the way to go :)

Juice can be high calories, so it is something to be mindful of. If you are just juicing high sugar fruits, that is not really a good thing. I <3 my green juice though.. and I can't tell you how happy I am to have the leafy green cravings under control. I also have a power blender to make green smoothies, but I am finding I like the juice more personally. Plus, it is easier to digest. I also learned that on days that I have to have Protein shakes for one reason or another mixing it in veggie juice makes it something I can stomach.

I have the best juicer ever...it is called Hurom slow juicer. I got it from William-Sonoma. It was a little pricey but worth every penny. You get way more juice from your fruit and veggies...so you use less at a time because it gives you more.

I hate rocket which I believe is the same as arugula. It is so trendy these days you go for a meal and they shove a heap of it on the side and call it a salad. YUCK

just shows we are all different.

elcee, yes, it is rocket lol. I've loved that, broccoli, spinach, and cilantro (coriander) since I was a child. Pesto was also my favorite sauce on Pasta. I think I was a weird one though. I've always had a thing for bitter greens. Someone earlier said they also don't like beets!! Beets are like candy to me lol.

I love coriander, can eat spinach, broccoli is Ok (so long as it is soft and the flowers only) but cannot stand the peppery bitterness of rocket. Pesto is great, I use it in mash as well as on Pasta. Beetroot is yummy but I wouldn't really want to drink it. The other vegetable which is really trendy atm which I thing is highly overrated is fennel - I cannot stand the aniseedy taste.

Google "Ninja Kitchen System " its a juicer and anything else you might need I love mine ! It does alot !. Walmart and Target carry them at a cheaper price than ordering it through the website. i got mine at costco in Jan for $125, but they were recently there for $ 99 .00 . Dont confuse the Ninja Kitchen System with the Ninja Blender. same company but a different item.

I have a vita mix! And love it! My nutritionist has worked with me to accommodate my vegan diet and I can put my leafy greens and wheat grass in my Protein Shakes and there is no restriction on the limit of leafy greens I drink! Great way to get your Calcium and iron! Like us vegans sat skip the middle cow and eat or drink your greens! How do u think cows get there calcium! They are vegetarians!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
