Passionatehrt 15 Posted April 14, 2012 By myself (9 month old is sleeping, husband took our 6 yr old to teeball) on day 3467964227 of this preop diet (actually 2 weeks and 1 day)... and the mental battle begins. There is so much Easter candy in this house....it is driving me crazy. I am an addict going through withdraws. Lost 15 lbs so Im doing good and I want to keep it up but those dang Reeses Peanut Butter eggs are calling my name. I friggin hate this. Not going to do it...going to busy myself with my budget and bills. Nichole
lizard0103 5 Posted April 14, 2012 you can do it!!! I ended up throwing most of my kids candy out!! I am two weeks post banded and had the pleasure of doing my liquid diet while on vacation with my kids, very very difficult, but we keep our mind on the finish line and power through....staying busy helps! good luck! waitingpatiently 250 Posted April 14, 2012 Just throw it out!! i have older children 17, 15, 13...i have always done something for the holiday...but this year i declared the easter bunny dead!! I gave each kid a movie ticket and a coupe bucks....I warned my in-laws that if they loaded the kids up with candy...it would be in trash before the end of the day. (BTW--2 of my children are struggling with weight issues....so no one really should be eating that crap anyways.
Holly Dolly 575 Posted April 14, 2012 yep, I'd day throw it out! Mine is all gone, I know what you are going through. I couldn't wait for Easter to be over. I am def an addict, feel like a junkie getting my fix when eating some good See's Candy!
Megan92877 7 Posted April 14, 2012 uggg..jelly Beans are everywhere...I agree...toss it...I have an almost 6 year old and kept a few pieces, but get rid of the rest!
Passionatehrt 15 Posted April 15, 2012 I think Ill keep some stuff for my son but bring most of it to work...they'll eat it all up.
honk 780 Posted April 15, 2012 I know it sounds mean spirited but I don't think the kids need any last bites of candy. Easter is now officially a week ago. As WW would say it's a holiday not a holiweek. Yes bring the rest to work. Yes, this is easy for me to say because I don't have any kids, but they did have Easter and then another 6 days of candy. Passionatehrt 15 Posted April 17, 2012 Well, but he hasnt had it every day though. Im going to bring the stuff that I personally have a problem with...like Reese's and Snickers. I could care less about Pop Rocks and Starbursts.
