Im In The Green Zone!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

FINALLY! I am 5 months out and 30 pounds lighter. But I have been wondering when I would get here. Im not having trouble getting anything down and I have 10 ccs in my 14cc band. I eat 4 ounces and fell full for over 5 hours. Ive lost 4 pounds in one week. I still have to make smart food choices to utilize this wonderful device to it's fullest. I jest now realized how this all works. It's been a wonderful journey getting here. I almost lost focus and gave up on this journey a few times. But I jumped back and now the plan is coming together. #excited@

That's good news....But you say you have no trouble getting ANYTHING down?

Can you feel your band when you swallow? Tighter/looser different times of the day?

Yeah I feel tight in the morning when I drink my pills and eat my yogurt. But by lunch I'm good. And if I don't chew good then my band screams at me to slow down. This is awesome for me. I am excited to get on the scale every morning. I'm never hungry anymore Like I was In the beginning. I love my band.

Yay for u! I actually thought I was in or near the green zone or sweet spot before but NOW I know I am there. I am one year out and have lost 55.5 pounds and I am thrilled but the scale had not moved in a few months just inches lost cuz I am an exercise fanatic. I now get full after a small meal and stay that way for at least three hours (really good for me). The scale finally moved! I have 25 pounds to goal and now think I might really make it :)....I have 6.5 cc in 10 cc band.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
