Cuz that can cause withdrawal like migraines. If you aren't real hungry treat the headache with Tylenol see how you feel. Good luck to you.
Rebecca Cain Salpacka 100 Posted April 11, 2012 I get severe headaches when i dont eat within 5-6 hrs of my last meal. I asked nutritionist and surgeon abourt this for when i do the liquid diet..they said the Protein Drinks should be enough to keep them from happening, but if not..a few crackers would be okay, and see if that helps. They said the diet is to reduce the fat and sugars you are taking so it will shrink you liver..and a few crackers wouldnt be enough to keep that from happening....but if u feel better hearing it from your doc directly, give them a quick call in the morning and see what they suggest. Good luck!
waitingpatiently 250 Posted April 11, 2012 I had headaches the first 4 or 5 days...but they went away after that
NWgirl 574 Posted April 11, 2012 Caffiene and sugar withdrawal can cause the headaches. If you need to, take some Ibuprofen or a little sip of caffiene to wean yourself off. You've got to break the addiction sooner or later, so I'd recommend the Ibuprofen.
smileforme 1 Posted April 11, 2012 Yes I did cut off caffeine cold turkey and sweets but I was just doing the low calorie diet with no carbs sugars or caffeine I think I'll try the Protein Shakes and see how that goes . But do the Protein shakes fill you up pretty well?
NWgirl 574 Posted April 11, 2012 As long as I got enough Protein, I find Protein Drinks are good. When I was doing my pseudo liquid diet (two shakes, one Protein Bar, two Greek yogurts a day) I was getting over 80g of protein daily. I was not super hungry.
