Food Portions Questions.

My doctor never gave me food guidlines based on volume (cups). He also never referred to my pouch as being the size of an egg. He does say to eat 3 oz of solid Protein. I have 3oz of Protein (usually chicken) for lunch and dinner. I have a fruited Greek yogurt, with half a scoop whey isolate Protein Powder, walnuts, 1/3 cup Kashi Go Lean High Protein Cereal, unflavored benefiber, and Splendra.

I've had an unfill, but still have issues getting food down that aren't hot. Still no breads or rice or pastas, or meats or fruits\veggies . Tough time. Not even coming close to the food portions I need to lose weight. Retaining everything I eat!

My nutrionist and doctor both say we should be eating between 1/2 and 1 cup of food per serving. The demonstration my nutrionist did was putting a small piece of meat, some veggies, and cut up apple into a measuring cup and saying "this is as much as you should be eating per meal". She also suggested using a salad plate rather than a dinner plate.

And of course, always eating Protein first in case you run out of room for the rest.

Sometimes I can't eat a whole cup, depending on what it is, but I can always eat at least a half a cup.
