downhomechik 41 Posted April 9, 2012 I am 37 bmi, starting weight 222. 5'3" tall. What types of diagnoses are co-morbid existing conditions according to insurance? I did talk to insurance but they sent me my insurance papers and I cant really understand it as well as I'd like. They dr office say I'm a good candidate but are worried that my insurance may deny me. I need two co-morbid conditions????

downhomechik 41 Posted April 9, 2012 What about a hiatal hernia that causes gerd?
Amanda1982 142 Posted April 9, 2012 Since it varies from Insurance to insurance, I would suggest you contact your insurance company and ask them to explain it to you in plain english. You should not be expected to understand "insurance lingo" lol. I know United Health Care (my plan anyway) only required co-morbid conditions if your BMI was very low but sorry I cant remember the numbers.
honk 780 Posted April 9, 2012 What about a hiatal hernia that causes gerd? I don't think a hernia is considered a mobidity; because I don't think it can kill you. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, diabetis etc.
