daisychains7 427 Posted May 2, 2012 Just want to clarify my previous post. I did not partake of the breakfast' date=' ice cream or pizza - I faithfully stayed on my pre-op diet.[/quote'] Great job that is so hard to do. Hi everyone. I am banded. I have 7 ccs on a 10 cc band.It wasn't as bad as I thought. Some soreness in the port area. When they ask you about your pain and nausea be truthful. They will make you comfortable and you definitely don't want to be in pain. It will speed your recovery. I will post more later. Wow I'm surprised you're already up and alert! Happy to hear it all went well. Keep us updated. - Natalie
shortishelli 14 Posted May 2, 2012 I'll just be happy when I can cross my legs again!!! Anybody else having this problem? I think I have to lose another 60 pounds before I'll be able to do that. I have that problem, but the one that pisses me off the most is putting my socks on in the morning! I'm down 14 pounds, about 40 more to go to put my socks on easily lol

Did you Dr give your the Phengen gel ( you rub it in on your wrist) for nausea? My surgery is May8th....I'm so excited and nervous all at the same time. I can't stay off this website...reading everyone's stories is inspirational.
Divine_swoman 5 Posted May 2, 2012 Just want to clarify my previous post. I did not partake of the Breakfast, ice cream or pizza - I faithfully stayed on my pre-op diet. Good for you. I have not done a great job on my pre-op diet, but I'm re-focused today. So far I'm down another 3lbs with 6days to go. My Dr. requires 48hrs of liquids only before surgery....not looking forward to that at all

My Dr. requires 48hrs of liquids only before surgery....not looking forward to that at all I know. This pre-op diet is about ready to do me in, but I'll do it. It's just not any fun. I guess that's part of my problem - my thinking is that food and fun should go together.

yelorz 9 Posted May 2, 2012 You go girl. What day are you on of the pre-op diet? I'm on Day 3. Today is day 10. I have 8 more days to go. I'm going to stop telling people that I'm having lap band surgery. They've been telling me that they know people who had it done and gained back the weight and someone else told me that they knew someone who had it done and it didn't turn out well at all. Arrrgggh. That's not what I want to hear right now as I'm starving to death.
kah1213 311 Posted May 2, 2012 omg that's another reason why I'm not telling anyone!

That's not what I want to hear right now as I'm starving to death. I have only told very close friends and my mom! When I say very close friends I mean like 2, LOL! I have only told the people that are true to me, and that I know are supportive. I refuse to let anyone in that is going to be a negative setup back for me, i've done that to myself for years now and am trying to turn that around. Just remember Yelorz with every good there is a bad. I believe the good is going to strongly out weigh (no pun intended) the bad.
