Passionatehrt 15 Posted April 8, 2012 gummy vitamins? Do they go down okay? My preop appt isnt until Tuesday but surgery is on Thursday so I need to shop for stuff now. Thanks!!
sam3841 57 Posted April 8, 2012 My surgeon said to get chewable. Centrum makes one and best choice too. I would worry the Gummy would get stuck. They are a little chalky much not that bad. He also had me get chewable Calcium. Your surgeon should have given you a list.

ducker2010 17 Posted April 8, 2012 I take gummies. No problem. In fact, I've had MORE success getting them down than the chewables.< /p>
highland 168 Posted April 8, 2012 Flinstones gummies are my dessert after dinner each night! Yum!
sam3841 57 Posted April 8, 2012 I have never tried gummies before. I just know my surgeon said chewable but I guess Gummy is chewable too? And they actually taste good?
ducker2010 17 Posted April 8, 2012 They are delicious! And like highland said I take mine after my evening meal and it's like a treat! Yum. I have to take four gummies and there are four flavors so sometimes I eat one of each and feel like I'm eating a smidge of candy. Yes, I know it's silly. But whatever. It makes my mind happy! Passionatehrt 15 Posted April 8, 2012 Darn...i got a few liquids and 2 chewables. It looks like there is a good variety of gummys so Ill have to get them next time. I need a really good probiotic in a chewable, liquid, or Gummy but havent found one yet. Right now (not banded till Thursday) I have an 80 billion probiotic. I love my probiotic and need to do some research for a comparable one. I also didnt find any liquid Tylenol or Ibuprofen...do you take childrens liquid but more of it or something? Or do they just not sell liquid Tylenol or Ibuprofen at Walmart (where I went). Thanks guys for your help.
ducker2010 17 Posted April 8, 2012 I got liquid Tylenol at Wal-Mart. I also know that I've seen it at every grocery store around here. However, I bought a whole bottle and never used it. I either took my prescribed pain pills or just learned that the pain wasn't that bad and dealt with it. Also, I didn't get liquid pain medicine. They just gave me pills which would have been the same size as Tylenol pills.
highland 168 Posted April 8, 2012 I also NEVER used my liquid tylenol. You actually buy children's and take the adult dose if you decide you want it. I had very little, if any, pIn after my surgery. The right shoulder gas pain was the most bothersome and walking is the only answer for that! Best wishes on your surgery!

I have found the adult liquid tylenol at Walmart, once. The other two times I've tried to find it, they've been sold out. I know Walgreens and probably Rite Aid also sell a generic acetaminophen. 1shauna1 129 Posted April 9, 2012 I would say chewable or liquid is best. I've had issues with Gummy things!
