johnnycantrock 71 Posted April 8, 2012 I'm looking into getting a scale at home because I don't want to drive an hour round trip to use my primary care physician's (plus I'd have to make an appointment just to hop on the scale.). So does anyone have any recommendations?
pink dahlia 2,513 Posted April 8, 2012 I just recently bought a Weight Watchers scale. It's about a pound different from my Dr.s very expensive scale. Im not sure what it cost as i got mine at Goodwill for $5.00. Try your 2nd hand stores first before you pay full price. I would have paid retail for mine anyway, it's VERY exact. Instead of showing 195 lbs, it will show 195.2 lbs , for example. Im very happy with watching that # go down, even if its just a half of a pound. Good luck ! Passionatehrt 15 Posted April 8, 2012 I have a digital one as well. I think i got it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond...you put your height in and it tells you your fat % it also saves it for you so the next time you weigh it remembers your weight from before and tells you the difference...it does the math. If you really want to get fancy Tanita ( not sure if I spelled it right) makes the best.
Terri jg 2 Posted April 8, 2012 I got a bow flex glass digital at costco, you program in you height, age and male or female and gives you weight, bmi and something else I don't remember about $20.
adorkbl 156 Posted April 8, 2012 I did a little research and ordered the EatSmart Precision Digital scale on Amazon. It is VERY consistent and ACCURATE. I love it. Highly recommend. http://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Precision-Digital-Bathroom-Technology/dp/B001KXZ808/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1295689183&sr=8-
johnnycantrock 71 Posted April 8, 2012 Thanks everyone. What capacity are those? I'm a high number. I'm standing at 530lbs (down 15lbs since my band was put in last Monday.) so I need a high capacity scale.< /p>
adorkbl 156 Posted April 8, 2012 The EatSmart scale has a 400 lb capacity. I am not familiar with the higher capacity scales. Good luck in finding a good one!!
