SashaWLS 412 Posted April 6, 2012 It's my most comfortable position, and I'm afraid I won't be able to later... Are you able to?
Toddy 758 Posted April 6, 2012 I had surgery on a Tuesday and slept on my stomach on Wednesday night. If you assume what I call the Superman position, one leg straight and one leg up, it does take a little pressure off your stomach.
ccsbulldog 59 Posted April 6, 2012 I think it was 3 or 4 days before I slept on my stomach after my surgery.

kadeez 2 Posted April 6, 2012 I laid on my stomach appx 3 days after surgery. In the meantime, I laid in my side with a small pillow under my stomach. That tricked my body into thinking I was sleeping on my stomach. Good luck to getting a restful night of sleep.< /p>

NWgirl 574 Posted April 7, 2012 I did not consciously lay on my stomach til about a week out, but my boyfriend told me when he came to bed a couple days after surgery and I was already asleep I was on my tummy. I felt completely fine sleeping on my left side (port is on right side) the day of surgery, which worked for me until I could sleep on my tummy. I Actually forced myself to sleep on my back the week prior to surgery because I did not know what would happen after surgery and wanted to be comfortable. How on earth could you sleep forcing yourself to lay on your back? it would be hard Im thinking.
