Need Motivation....

Recommended Posts

I had a bad month in March, I guess I was too comfortable. I gained 1.5 lbs. I know I ate all the wrong things, and didn't exercise enough.

I'm almost 6 mos out from surgery and my weight loss is 49 ( I think ). I was so happy in my March weigh in for losing 10, now I gained 1.5 back.

I am having a hard time getting motivated and making myself go walk. Has anyone else experienced this?

I am no where near done with my weight loss. Not even half way to my goal.

Any feedback is welcome!

Thank you!

Honestly, I don't think anyone enjoys exercise. Sometimes you have to literally force yourself out the door and just do it. After a while, when you start seeing results, you'll have all the motivation you need!

This happened to me when I first joined my gym. I was so afraid I would lose motivation and stop going, but I made myself go at least 4 days a week and signed up with a trainer. When I started toning up and losing weight and inches, that was the kick in the butt I needed. Now I go six days a week and am officially a gym rat!

Thank you all for your comments! I was more active today than previous weeks. Still need to commit to at least 30 minutes a day. Tomorrow is a new day!

um honey........... if you've lost 49 lbs you should be jumping for joy ! thats awesome and so are you !!! And i may be wrong here , but i dont know why you're upset over a 1.5 "gain". your body should and does go up and down about 2 lbs every day. Digestion , hormones, the monthly time, Water retention etc....as far as exercise, walking is great but try to find 1 or more activities that you like and mix it up a bit. Just commit to 4 days a week and then if you feel like doin more , great, but if not 4 days is good ! that way you'll have more motivation if its not the same exercise EVERY day. Also give your self 2 pts for every time you exercise, when you get 10 pts , give yourself a non food reward. ( A new magazine, a mani/pedi, a massage , etc.) Good luck !!!
