Recommended Posts

I was curious what all of you would say is your average caloric intake per day, past the 6 week healing stage. :scared:

Jonathan! *laughs*

I'm aiming for 800, but typically its more like 700. I talked to my doc last week and he said between 800 and 1,000 is fine as long as you are getting a minimum of 60 grams of Protein per day. If your caloric intake is this low and you're not keeping up with the Protein, your body will begin to eat itself (muscles). Remember, the heart is a muscle. If you're eating 800 to 1,000 calories in carbs per day, you need to make some changes.

600-800 net.

Meaning, depending on the exercise I do, I actually eat between 1200-1300 a day, and burn off 600-700 a day. If I don't exercise, I keep it below 800.

Thursday night, I drove up to Rochester MN because my father was having surgery. I spent 3 days with my Mom, and came home last night. I walked a lot up there, but no real cardio exercise, and we ate in restaraunts the whole time so I wasn't able to count calories. So for 3 days (according to the scale today) I didn't lose or gain. (course, it's also that time of the month for me, so that's normal) - I'm exactly the same as the day I left.

So today, it's back on the "write it ALL down!" train.

I'm averaging between 800 and 900 calories per day. Every once in a while I'll kick it up to 1100 or 1200 just so my body doesn't get used to a minimal amount.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
