dhales 98 Posted April 4, 2012 I am officially banded! The Gas pains were tough and a little on the unbearble side immediately after. But they gave me another dose of pain meds before I left the Surgery Center and I was knocked out until a little bit ago. I do have to say that if not for the heating pad...I would have been so miserable. But all in all...a good day and the surgery went seamless. 1 NWgirl reacted to this
NWgirl 574 Posted April 4, 2012 Great news! Just try and get to moving tomorrow and take it easy. Use a pillow pressed against your tummy getting up/down or laying in bed. WELCOME TO THE OTHER SIDE
dhales 98 Posted April 4, 2012 No gas this morning...knock on wood. It appears to just have been the first 5 hours after surgery. I took one Gas X....however I think the heating pad gave me the most relief. Incisions and tummy feel great. I'm not even hungry at this point. I had a little broth last night and a sugar free popsicle. BTW - if you haven't had surgery yet...be sure to get those popsicles. It was hard to sip on Water to satisfy my dry mouth...but that popsicle was heaven sent. PS = I was 188 yesterday before surgery and this morning when I weighed I was 190...all those fluids they fill you up with...my wedding ring was even tight this morning. Hopefully I can get all that extra Fluid flushed soon.
