Sholitxmom 1 Posted April 2, 2012 I was banded this past Thursday the 29th. I am of course in my liquid diet still. I felt that since I could eat yogurt that eating no sugar added applesauce was good. I ate some last night and became really nauseated. I thought it was the morphine because I had to go to the ER for pain yesterday. So today I tried it again and I'm so freaking sick right now. Has anyone had any problems like this? Is it really the applesauce?
Dulci 108 Posted April 2, 2012 Stick with liquids as per your post op instructions from your doctor. Apple sauce is pretty high in Fiber and that may be too much for your healing tummy.
Sholitxmom 1 Posted April 2, 2012 Thanks.....that make sense. I just don't see how yogurt is considered a part of the liquid diet but I did better on that.
superluli 17 Posted April 2, 2012 I think it's best to stick to Clear Liquids. I lived on skim milk, chicken broth and Jello for the week after surgery. Then added non Clear Liquids like Soups and yogurt the week after. Make sure ur stomach heals well and don't work it hard. I went from work to bed and bed to work coz I had no energy the first two-three weeks, but it flies by.

Ive found yoghurt one of the most used foods since day two. i put a heaped tablespoon in all my Protein Drinks. i use greek yoghurt. im using yoghurt in my home made Soups as well. im finding now that my taste buds are well and truly happy and im not hungry anymore. im post op 10 days today. Ive lost 10% of my body weight since the 22nd. be prepared to experiment with the liquids you are having. im adding all sorts of things like mild salsa to my soups.im adding yoghurt to my soups before blending. its really good. I havent had applesauce at all. i havent suffered any nausea . I hope that the nausea
