I have a 14 cc band. Not sure how much is in it. I try to follow all the rules, have messed up some! I would like to feel a little restriction b/c I can eat a lot!

I was banded on January 18th and I'm down 47lbs! I still see a nutritionist, hit the gym 3-4 days a week for cardio and weight lifting plus I joined weight watchers because I'm better at counting points than calories. Sure I've hit plateaus and have my down moments but the good moments are far greater. Getting banded was the best thing I ever did. I'm gettingy second fill on Thursday and I'm excited about it!!! Hoping to lose 100 lb by the end of the year and reach my goal!

I haven't felt any restrictions. Occasionally when I do ab exercises I feel pain where the port is...my doctor told me to just cut back on how many I do but it's ok to continue exercising. I have no problems consuming and foods and now, alcohol goes straight to my head :-)

i was banded late jan. and have currently lost 30lbs. i am up to 7cc in my 11cc band. i just have to say i never felt restriction until this last fill goin from 6 to 7cc. before i was able to eat anything i wanted and now after this fill im not eating much. i feel like maybe im to full because i can only eat mushy stuff and sometimes that even feels stuck. i too feel like i dnt notice the weight loss as much as i wld like, but i have to say i wld of never of lost this amount of weight in 5 months by myself. i am more then halfway to my goal just need 25lbs to go.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
